Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How long do the photos stay online for?
- The photos stay online for four weeks and then are taken off when they receive no more activity
Can I still purchase photos when they are taken off the website?
- The photos are no longer available for purchase once they are removed from the website
Are the photos photoshopped?
- Yes. We do not have the capacity to photoshop every photo before it is loaded onto the website, and so leave this part to when a photo is ordered. Every photo is then photoshopped for exposure, colour balance, saturation, and sharpness. We might make a few discretionary decisions as well regarding cropping, removal of things that detract from the photo such as rubbish, or the removal of itchy bites.
Why are there not any photos of my child?
- Although we try our best to photograph every competitor, sometimes someone might slip through the cracks. They might not have been photographed because they didn't play for very long on the field or an umpire stepped in the way when the shot was taken. Their photo may have been cut in the editing process due to shadows on the face caused by wearing hats.
Why are there not any photos of gymnasts on the trampoline/vault etc?
- When competitors are moving at high speeds, we need a lot of light to capture the photos without blurring and without grain. Generally when clubs are renting a competition space, lighting is kept to a minimum to reduce expenses for the club. Naturally we have to restrict our photography to activities where the competitors are not moving at such a high pace.
Why are there more photos of my child during the day, and not as many during the evening?
- The same reason as the question above - we need a certain amount of light to take photographs. This can be greatly affected if a venue has skylights.
How will I receive my photos?
- The photos will be posted with Australia Post packed in cardboard and wrapped in plastic. Our custom made products including; Combo & Montage posters, Magazine covers and Souvenir prints will be posted via registered post and a signature will be required on delivery.
